We’ve got good news and bad news. Let’s start with the bad news because who wants that hanging over your head?
OK, so the bad news is that Magic Kingdom’s beloved Happily Ever After fireworks show will not run for two nights in a row this July. So, if you were hoping to catch the show, you might want to rethink your plans. Now, let’s get to the GOOD news!
The reason that Happily Ever After will NOT run in Magic Kingdom is that a different show will temporarily take its place! The exclusive show is called “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” Can you guess when this celebration will take place?
The special nighttime spectacular will happen on July 3rd and July 4th, 2024 at 9:20PM. Make sure you reserve your spot for the show EARLY — this is one of those rare celebrations that tends to draw BIG crowds.
You can catch the show inside Magic Kingdom (of course) and from nearby Magic Kingdom-area hotels like Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
If you happen to be in Disney World around the week of the Fourth of July, look out for all kinds of special events! Listen for some FUN music in Magic Kingdom as a DJ hosts a dance party in front of Cinderella Castle and stick around AFTER the EPCOT fireworks show, Luminous “The Symphony of Us,” for an additional fireworks display called “The Heartbeat of Freedom.” This one takes place July 3rd and 4th at 9PM.
Additionally, you can meet Mickey and his friends in their special (and highly patriotic) “Spirit of ’76” outfits! You’ll find them at The American Adventure in EPCOT on July 4th.
There’s a LOT going on in Disney World for the Fourth of July! Prepare for crowds and long lines, and make sure to drink lots of water. It will be HOT in Central Florida in early July.
In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
