Food booths, props, sets, and more have been installed throughout Universal Studios Florida for Halloween Horror Nights 33.

HHN 33 Entrance & ‘Duality of Fear’ Scare Zone

The entrance archway is right behind the Universal Studios Florida gates, between the two entry pavilions. Three speakers hang from the archway, which currently has no decorations.

Beyond the archway is a set of scaffolding over the road for the Duality of Fear scare zone. Guests will enter Duality of Fear as soon as they enter HHN. In this scare zone, guests “must choose a path: the visceral horror of SINIST3R or the unearthly terror of SURR3AL.”

The structure has several lights pointing towards the road. A couple of speakers are in the corners. There are railings around the top, likely for SINIST3R and SURR3AL to walk across and interact with guests below.

A column of scaffolding on one side is wrapped in black scrims.

‘Swamp of the Undead’ Scare Zone

More set dressing fills out the space for Swamp of the Undead. This scare zone is in the Central Park area of Universal Studios Florida. There are boats with fishing gear stuck between craggy rocks.

A “Keep Out” sign is atop a barrel. Nets and planks of wood cover the fence.

New blue barrels appear to be floating in the water around a sunken fishing boat. A folding chair is atop a nearby dock.

Next to the folding chair is a basket. An owl sculpture is on a post of the raised dock.

There are rubber tires attached to the dock and ferns surrounding it.

The bottom of a scaffolding tower has been wrapped in twine. Lights are partially hidden among plants and behind barrels.

An airboat, which one might use to navigate a swamp, is behind several potted plants. These plants aren’t permanent but are just blocking the airboat while construction continues.

We can see the airboat’s giant fan, partially covered by a net.

Many of the props are purposefully weathered and stained. Plants appear to be growing around them, swallowing them into the swamp.

A dilapidated treehouse is behind the fence. Tattered fabric hangs inside the house.

A makeshift raft made of tires and sticks is on the ground.

A-frame signs tell guests that the set-up is for Halloween Horror Nights.

The most notable additions to this area are some alligator figures. They’re currently covered in camouflage sheets, but we could see their tails.

Though the gators are currently static, it is possible they could move slightly during Halloween Horror Nights.

The Swamp of the Undead description reads:

In backwaters Louisiana, you unwittingly wander onto private property, where you’re swamped by zombies borne from the bodies of other trespassers who were killed and dumped in a nearby bog.

‘Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus’ Stage

We could see tattered curtains at the Fear Factor stage, which will house “Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus.” At this year’s show, “Step right up to a dark circus, a new nightmare that carries with it a sinister curse. It’s a thrilling spectacle of pyro and aerialists.”

The fabric hanging over the stage features stripes, diamond patterns, and polka dots — inspired by classic circus tents. They look burnt and torn.

Two scaffolding towers stand outside the theater.

‘Enter the Blumhouse’ Scare Zone

The Blumhouse scare zone has officially been announced. Universal has installed Blumhouse several props in the park’s San Francisco area.

As previously seen, there are large house-shaped structures inspired by the Blumhouse logo on stages in the area.

Blumhouse banners now hang from the scaffolding archways outside the Fast & Furious: Supercharged exit.

A set of blue lockers and a mascot head are in reference to “Freaky.”

These sit tucked into a corner of dilapidated walls.

A blue floral wreath hangs on one wall. There are also metal barrels painted with graffiti.

The graffiti includes Halloween elements like skulls, Jack-o’-Lanterns, and “Boo!”

The titular phone from “The Black Phone” can be found on the facade wall near the barrels.

The “Enter the Blumhouse” description reads:

Run a terrifying gauntlet of Blumhouse characters. From The Grabber to M3GAN dancing into your nightmares, this is a new kind of horror.

‘Torture Faire’ Scare Zone

When guests walk through the park’s New York area, they will enter the Torture Faire.

Come one, come all, to the renaissance faire with the devious theme of medieval torture. Brave the gloriously gory homemade torture devices ‘til you’re put out of your misery.

This stall resembles one you might see at a Renaissance faire.

It has peg boards and shelves in the back.

The crossbeams are inspired by medieval and Renaissance architecture.

Inside the booth are two burlap sacks.

The scare zone’s bigger set piece is the Torture Faire stage. Since our last update, the stage has been decorated with red and orange diamond-patterned paneling.

An iron maiden, an ancient torture device, is on one side of the stage.

It’s topped with a metal face in agony.

On the other side of the stage hangs something in a burlap sack over a giant wooden bucket.

Food Booths

This first food booth was on the bridge near the park’s Springfield area. It’s covered in fake stones with vines growing over the roof.

The ordering window features wooden planks above it, like a castle’s gate.

Most of the food booths are in and around the New York area. This gray one features the red door from “Insidious.” As if that wasn’t enough to point to its theme, an “Insidious” sign is above the window.

The red door has three sets of scratches on it.

Insidious: The Further will be a haunted house this year.

“Face Your Demons” is on the side of the booth.

This food booth is decorated like a British tavern. It features red brick and green paneling with gold details. It’s called “Twilight Tavern,” according to the signage above the window.

Guests will be able to get the classic Twisted Taters at this food booth, which is made up of colorful cartoon-like paneling.

A fake doghouse is on the booth’s facade.

The sign is made to look like it originally said “Tater Tots Live,” but the last two words are scratched out. “Twisted” has been added in bloody lettering.

There are two “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” booths to match the haunted house. This one resembles an old stone building in New York. Sheets of ice are along the walls and icicles drip from above. There are fake windows frosted over.

The “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” house has this description:

An ancient artifact has released a chilling new entity, Garraka. He’ll stop you cold. Only the Ghostbusters can keep you from getting iced.

The next “Ghostbusters” booth is “Ivan’s.” This booth is designed to look like a family-owned NYC deli and grocery. It’s named after Ivan Reitman, the late director of the first two “Ghostbusters” films.

Ivan’s is similarly covered in icy detailing.

The menu boards on this booth and all the others are currently blank.

Other haunted houses include Slaughter Sinema 2Goblin’s FeastMajor Sweets Candy FactoryThe Museum: Deadly ExhibitsMonstruos: The Monsters of Latin AmericaTriplets of Terror, and A Quiet Place.
