Disney will be testing fireworks at Magic Kingdom in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 12, likely in preparation for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Fireworks Testing at Magic Kingdom

They announced the testing on the Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook page, writing, “Apologies to our neighbors and guests for some noise after midnight tonight due to sporadic firework testing at Magic Kingdom.”

The Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party fireworks show is “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” featuring a larger-than-life Jack Skellington puppet. It debuted in 2019, replacing “HalloWishes,” and was updated in 2022.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins on August 9 and runs through Halloween. Disney stated it will include more villain appearances and we recently saw Captain Barbossa roaming Adventureland as a test.
