With the years-long reimagining complete, a new EPCOT guidemap featuring the new experiences throughout the park, such as the Mickey & Friends meet and greet, is available.
New EPCOT Guidemap
The image on the front of the new guidemap features a family of three watching fireworks from “Luminous: The Symphony of Us” explode in the night sky over World Showcase Lagoon. This image replaces the previous guidemap cover displaying Figment as guests would encounter him at his meet and greet in the Imagination! Pavilion.
The park’s map now displays CommuniCore Hall & Plaza southwest of Spaceship Earth. In the previous map, this area was shown as green grass.
“Luminous: The Symphony of Us” is no longer labeled as new on this park map. The nighttime spectacular also features a description that reads, “Dazzling fireworks unite us as citizens of the Earth.”
The new map also features the new experiences available to guests in CommuniCore Hall. The new character meet and greet, “Meet Mickey & Friends,” is listed under attractions. Though the description doesn’t specify which characters guests will have the opportunity to meet, Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy will all be regulars at the location.
The new quick-service restaurant, Festival Favorites, is now listed as a dining option in World Celebration. This new location highlights foods available to guests during EPCOT festivals throughout the year.
Noticeably missing from this section of the map is “¡Celebración Encanto!“, the new stage show that is performed daily at the CommuniCore Plaza stage.
The final major item of note is that Test Track is still present on the map. The recently closed attraction is listed as “Closed Temporarily for Reimagination.” Nothing new has been added to World Showcase since the latest EPCOT guidemap debuted in December of last year.
On the back of the map, guests can still find information regarding personalized guest service, transportation, payment options, park rules, and Disney Vacation Club. A list of all the festivals happening throughout the year at EPCOT is also on display.
This new physical EPCOT guidemap brings the park up to date with the My Disney Experience App, as last week, the digital EPCOT map was updated to include CommiCore Hall & Plaza.
