Can you believe we’re (hopefully) just about a year away from the opening of Epic Universe in Orlando?

While no official opening date has been announced yet, it’s long been mentioned that Universal plans to have the new park open “certainly in time for Summer 2025,” and we count that as being less than a year away! But what’s construction looking like? Will they be able to meet this timeline? Let’s take a look!

Epic Universe will nearly double the size of Universal Orlando Resort, but that’s hard to imagine while the park is still being built. Thanks to amazing aerial photos by @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter though, we get a better look at what a park THAT big looks like, and from the looks of it, tons of testing is going on!

At the front of the park, in Celestial Park, the fountain has been filled with water to begin testing the attraction — so exciting!

And overall, the front of the park is coming along very nicely. It really is starting to take shape!

The Helios Grand Hotel also appears to be making great progress. We can’t believe just how massive this hotel is!

Also in Celestial Park, Stardust Racers is also testing! This likely means that the coaster itself is likely complete.

We’re also starting to see trees pop up around the park as well, which is a great step. These trees have been placed around Atlantic Hotel in Celestial Park.

But that’s not the only place trees have been planted! Check out these that help reveal the streets of Paris in the new Wizarding World section!

Interesting design so that most first time guests have a surprise reveal of Paris. A restaurant is in front of the portal. The portal has a wall directing guests around tall trees. Then the reveal. pic.twitter.com/M86PPAOWF5

Looking briefly into Super Nintendo World, not only is major progress being made on the theming of the area...

…but Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness is looking fantastic too!

But what are things looking like on the ground? Well over at Terra Luna and Stella Nova Resorts, things are looking great!

Stella Nova Resort

Being on the ground, it’s wild to see just HOW big this new park (and surrounding hotels) are!

Terra Luna Resort

When driving around the Terra Luna and Stella Nova Resort areas, you can also see just how much of the area still has yet to be developed!

Construction from a far!

We also spotted some buildings being built that we aren’t totally sure what they’ll be just yet!

What will these be? We don’t know just yet!

We’re loving watching the latest construction updates happen in real time, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest news!
