Disney World has some iconic rides!
And let’s be real, the Tower of Terror is a classic. It’s the perfect mix of spooky vibes and heart-stopping drops that makes you wanna scream your head off (in the best way possible, of course). But here’s the thing, Disney adults (myself included) have this weird obsession with scoring a specific row on it. Why? Let’s talk about it!
Where you sit on a ride can make or break your experience. As a “seasoned” Disney adult, I’ve ridden the Tower of Terror more times than I can count, and let me tell you, the Front Row is downright magical!
If you’re like me and live for that adrenaline rush, you can’t go wrong with the front row. The front row is the perfect spot for anyone who wants the full, unfiltered experience of plummeting straight down 13 stories.
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of looking out over the park just before you drop, with nothing blocking your view. Plus, you get the best breeze in your face, which is a bonus on those hot Florida days.
But let’s be real, not everyone is like me and in it for the thrill. If you’re a bit more on the cautious side, or maybe just trying to survive the ride because your friends begged you to join, here’s what you’re going to want to do: aim for the very back corners.
There’s something comforting about being nestled next to the walls. It makes you feel just a bit more secure. Also, you still get to experience the ride without the full intensity of the front row. Plus, having a wall next to you can make you feel a bit more grounded when the elevator car starts to freefall.
One more thing to keep in mind is that asking for specific rows is usually welcomed by the Cast Members. Look, they get it, and they want you to have the best experience possible. So, don’t be shy, and make sure to grab the spot that’s going to give you the most enjoyment (or the least amount of heart palpitations).
So, next time you ride the Tower of Terror, why not switch things up (front row for back corner and vice versa)? This ride is like the gift that keeps on giving in that you’ll have tons of fun no matter where you’re sitting (and each ride is a unique experience).
