Disney PhotoPass Service is offering 10 new photo ops this summer at Walt Disney World Resort.
New Disney PhotoPass Opportunities This Summer
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will have two new Disney PhotoPass opportunities this summer. The first is a video captured by the photographer across from the “Feathered Friends in Flight!” bird show.
The video begins with a close-up of the guests in the shot before zooming out to reveal a parrot perched atop a Disney’s Animal Kingdom sign. The Tree of Life takes up the middle of the video, as the guests shrink beneath it. The video then zooms back in on the guests.
The second photo op is a Magic Shot that takes place on the pathway between Africa and Asia. Meeko, from “Pocahontas,” hangs off a vine as he joins your family’s photo.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will have the opportunity to experience a few new photo ops, like a PhotoPass video that allows guests to see the magic of a lightsaber igniting in their hands. During daylight hours, guests should search for an Image Specialist near Oga’s Cantina to experience the effect.
Another Magic Shot allows guests to play the galaxy’s most popular card game, Sabacc. This photo op can be found in front of the Millennium Falcon.
Guests can also book a private photo session with a professionally trained photographer to capture their day in Batuu. The price for a 20-minute photo session is $99.
EPCOT
This summer, EPCOT will feature three new Magic Shots at Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana.” One photo allows guests to meet the water, as it comes up to give them a high five.
The next Magic Shot takes place in front of the Te Fiti figure near the end of the walk-through attraction. As guests pose in front of the goddess, Maui flies overhead in his hawk form.
The final Moana offering features two Kakamora. The smaller Kakamora stands on one foot atop the larger Kakamora.
Another Magic Shot at EPCOT can be found in front of The Seas with Nemo & Friends. As guests pose with statues of Dory, Marlin, and Nemo, Hank crashes the photo in the foreground.
The final EPCOT photo op is an Annual Passholder exclusive. As part of V.I.PASSHOLDER Days, Annual Passholders can pose for a photo near Dreamers Point with a donut prop and a Magic Shot of Sticth bursting out of the center of it. This opportunity is available through June 26.
Magic Kingdom
The two newest attractions at Magic Kingdom will each have new Magic Shots this summer. In front of TRON Lightcycle / Run, guests can take a Magic Shot with an Identity Disc.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also feature a Magic Shot as riders plummet down the final drop of the attraction. The ride photo features Sebastián, Gritty, and a firefly, likely a member of Ray’s family, holding a sign that reads ” We know a shortcut!” This Magic Shot will be available when the attraction opens on June 28.
Disney Springs
Disney Springs is offering summer-inspired photo ops at the Disney PhotoPass Studio. Guests can take photos with beachy backdrops and summery props.
One Magic Shot features Stitch wearing sunglasses with an ice cream cone on his extended tongue.
The other Magic Shot features a huge DOLE Whip.
The Disney PhotoPass Studio is located between Marketplace Co-Op and Ghiradelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. It is accessible from inside and outside Marketplace Co-Op and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests do not need to make reservations to have their photos taken.
More PhotoPass Opportunities Coming Soon
Disney has also announced that more photo ops celebrating Pride Month, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Fourth of July, and the 30th anniversary of “The Lion King” will be available soon.
