Club 33 administrator Bonnye Lear passed away after falling from a moving golf cart and hitting her head backstage at Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said in a statement, “We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her. At this time, we are focused on supporting her family and our cast members through this tragic event and making sure they have the resources they need.”

Anaheim Police and Anaheim Fire & Rescue spokespersons said that they responded to a traffic collision backstage at Disneyland on Wednesday, June 5 at 11:30 a.m. Lear, who had fallen from a moving golf cart and injured her head, was taken to a local hospital. She passed away from her injuries on Friday, June 7.

Bonnye Lear was from Fullerton, CA. She was 60 years old and worked in membership support services at Club 33. Her fellow Cast Members were “terribly upset” after learning about her death.

Club 33 is a private VIP lounge in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. The original opened in 1967. More locations have since opened at other Disney Parks.
