Yeah, yeah, we know it’s not even officially summer yet, but we’re already pumped about Halloween in Disney World!

For 2024, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is returning to Magic Kingdom and we’re going to have a BLAST with trick-or-treating, specialty entertainment, rare character meets, and low wait times for rides. And if you’re planning a trip to the Halloween party this year, then today may be an important day for you!

Starting Friday, June 7th, people staying at Disney World Resort hotels will be able to make reservations for restaurants and dessert parties during MNSSHP! Those not staying at a Disney World hotel will be able to make reservations starting on June 10th.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

For those interested in a dessert party, there are two options — Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing and Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. The Plaza Garden Viewing party is $99 for adults and $59 for children ages 3-9, with a dessert buffet offered at Tomorrowland Terrace and then reserved viewing area for the fireworks show in the Plaza Garden.

Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party

For the Tomorrowland Terrace version of the party, you’ll pay $119 per adult and $75 per child. With this version, you get the same dessert buffet, but you also get reserved seating at Tomorrowland Terrace to view the show — you won’t have to stand up at all!

Dessert party seating

If you don’t want to pay for the fireworks dessert parties but you DO want to have a sit-down meal during MNSSHP, you can do that as well! Be Our Guest Restaurant, Plaza Restaurant, and Cinderella’s Royal Table will all be open during the event. Reservations are recommended. Prices vary for these meals, as you’ll be ordering off the individual restaurant’s menu.

Be Our Guest

As people who’ve been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dozens of times, we don’t generally recommend these options for first-timers. Both dessert parties and sit-down meals take up a significant amount of party time, and you only get about 5 hours of party time in total. We recommend grabbing dinner during the period before the party kicks off (in that 4PM-7PM window) so that you don’t miss any of the festitivies, and saving the fireworks dessert party for a regular visit to Magic Kingdom.

Main Street U.S.A. at night

When you’re paying hundreds of dollars for your family to go to MNSSHP, you’ll want to make the most of your time! It’s already a challenge to accomplish everything in a short amount of time, but adding in a long meal can make that goal even more unattainable. Ultimately, it’s totally up to you what you’d like to do, and your priorities may be different than ours if your Halloween party day is the ONLY day you have in Magic Kingdom!
