Official Statement from Lite 99 Regarding “Nights With Ventura”
Recently, an email was circulated among affiliates of the syndicated program Nights With Ventura containing personal accusations and discouraging words aimed at the host of the show. At Lite 99, we believe in lifting others up — not tearing them down — and we believe Scripture gives us clear guidance on how we should treat people.
The Bible reminds us:
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up.” — Ephesians 4:29
“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger.” — Proverbs 15:1
“Do not speak evil of one another.” — James 4:11
“Love one another as I have loved you.” — John 13:34
It’s important that we hold fast to these values, especially when emotions run high or when disagreements arise. Words can build — or they can break. As followers of Christ’s teachings on compassion, humility, and forgiveness, we choose to use our platform to encourage rather than condemn.
Lite 99 stands with Ventura.
We support his continued growth, creativity, and dedication to radio. Everyone has seasons of challenge, and Scripture teaches us to walk alongside one another through those times — not to judge, reject, or shame.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Nights With Ventura has been a source of comfort, late-night company, and community for countless listeners. We look forward to many more evenings of uplifting words, heartfelt stories, and meaningful moments.
