Disney World is quite a confusing place, and you may have a lot of questions — we get it!

Cinderella Castle

How should you plan your trip? How many days should you dedicate to being in the parks? What are the best hotels to stay at? Those are just a few of the questions you may be asking before your vacation, and we’ve got plenty of resources to help you out. However, it’s come to our attention that there are some questions about the parks that are totally going viral right now, so let’s help clear up those answers!

When Will Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Open?

We’ve also seen this question posed as “When will Splash Mountain reopen?” and the answers are a little different if we’re being technical. Splash Mountain will technically never return to Disney World and Disneyland because it’s being officially replaced with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

However, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has the exact same ride system and is in the same building as Splash Mountain, so it’s more of a retheme. At the time of this post, Cast Member previews have taken place and Annual Passholder previews are currently in progress. This ride will open to the public on June 28th in Disney World! Disneyland has not yet announced an opening date for its version of the same ride.

When it opens in Disney World, guests can ride by either joining the Virtual Queue at 7AM or 1PM or by purchasing Genie+ for the day and booking a return time.

When Will Park Pass Reservations End?

We have good news about this one — they already have! Park Pass Reservations were utilized when the parks reopened after the COVID-19 closure and didn’t go away for date-based tickets until January 9th, 2024. This system required visitors to reserve a spot at the park they wanted to visit ahead of time.

Now, park passes are still required for Annual Passholders if they’re looking to enter a park before 2PM (unless it’s a Good-to-Go day), and they’re also required for large groups that don’t have date-based tickets. If you’ve booked a regular Disney World vacation by yourself or with your family/friends, it’s most likely you have date-based tickets!

When Will Disney World Decorate For Christmas?

A lot of people really want to make sure they’ll see Disney World’s amazing Christmas decorations on their vacation, and while we don’t have an exact date each year when Disney World will start to decorate, it usually begins the first few days of November, almost immediately after Halloween.

However, there’s a LOT to decorate, so if you’re looking to see everything decorated, we recommend visiting closer to the second half of November or even the beginning of December. By this time, you can feel confident knowing that ALL the decorations are out, and you won’t miss any of the excitement offered.

When Will Disney World Open a 5th Park?

Now THIS is a question we’ve really been seeing a lot, especially as Universal Orlando reveals information about their new park, Epic Universe. We know you want the answer to be different, but the truth is that Disney has not announced any plans to open a fifth park in Disney World at this time.

@Disney

Now, that’s not to say it won’t happen. Many experts are predicting that a fifth park will be announced, but even if it IS, it will be many years before we see the opening of a fifth park. In the meantime though, we do know about a “blue sky” expansion project for Magic Kingdom and a confirmed expansion/retheme of DinoLand U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom.

When Will the Country Bear Musical Jamboree Reopen?

Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom has also been getting a retheme (in a way), and we finally know when it’s going to reopen! You’ll be able to experience this new rendition of the attraction starting on July 17th.

New look at Country Bear Jamboree

Now, we say “new” because the name has changed to Country Bear Musical Jamboree. While it still features all the characters you know and love, they’ll be singing classic Disney songs in new styles like pop-country, rockabilly, and bluegrass. The show is also heavily inspired by the Opry-style shows found in Nashville, Tennessee, but Disney shared that there will still be easter eggs and nods to the original attraction!

Take a look at the changes coming to the show!

How Much is Genie+ in Disney World?

Genie+ is Disney’s paid skip-the-line service that replaced FastPass+, and many agree that it’s a confusing system! The price can vary anywhere from $15-$40 per person per day, depending on the park or if you’re panning to park hop. If you want to see what the price is for that day, you can check your My Disney Experience App!

You can see how much Genie+ will cost starting at midnight, which will give you a good idea of how busy they expect the parks to be that day!

When is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2024?

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a massively popular party every year in Magic Kingdom. Dates are typically released around halfway through the calendar year, and tickets go on sale soon after. Dates and tickets have already been announced and released for the party this year!
