Universal teases new ride for Dark Universe at Epic Universe

Epic Universe is planning a dark expansion.
Universal Orlando formally announced plans to bring a new indoor roller coaster to Dark Universe, the Monsterverse inspired land at Epic Universe.
In social media posts, Universal said construction was already underway, and the ride would involve an all-new story inspired by the Universal Monsters franchise.

No opening date was announced, except that it would be in the “years ahead.”
Dark Universe centers around the mansion of Victoria Frankenstein and the surrounding village of Darkmoor.
The mansion is the setting for Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, which brings guests face-to-face with Frankenstein’s monster, Dracula, the Wolfman, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Mummy, the Phantom of the Opera and more.
Universal says the new ride will be next to Monsters Unchained. Orange County permits records show plans for a three-story building about 93,308 square feet in size, with 71,500 square feet listed as “tenant space.”
As for what story the new ride will tell, Universal is keeping that buried for now.
However, speculation has long been that the next ride Universal was planning for Dark Universe would be Creature from the Black Lagoon themed.
