During tonight’s media preview, we were able to see a full performance of “¡Celebración Encanto!”, a new live show premiering at EPCOT tomorrow.
‘¡Celebración Encanto!’
“¡Celebración Encanto!” is a new sing-along live show featuring fan-favorite characters from “Encanto.”
The show takes place on the new CommuniCore Plaza stage. For the limited run of “¡Celebración Encanto!”, the stage has received colorful “Encanto” theming and a full drumset.
The show begins with two hosts welcoming the audience to the celebration.
As the sing-along progresses, some guests will be called onstage to participate in the show.
Each on-stage guest performer is given a colorful prop related to “Encanto.”
For those who aren’t chosen to go on stage, there is still an opportunity to take part in the action. At one point guests will be invited in front of the stage to pose with the performers.
The LED screen above the stage features clips from “Encanto”, as well as lyrics to the songs so that everyone can sing along.
Later in the show, Mirabel and Bruno Madrigal join the celebration, dancing, and singing along to fan-favorite songs.
The new show is very similar to the “An Encanto Celebration” show from the Disney Magic cruise ship. It starts with trivia and sing-along segments, followed by a dance party and appearances from Mirabel and Bruno.
“¡Celebración Encanto!” will premiere on June 10 as part of the grand opening of CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza, the final pieces of the multi-year EPCOT reimagining.
It will run multiple times per day on the new CommuniCore Plaza stage from June 10 through September 6. According to Disney’s official website, the show will only run during the daytime. A Latin groove band will play in the evenings.
