The Groveland Fire Department and Lake County Fire Rescue responded to a small plane crash south of Groveland.

Around 9:30 a.m. Friday, a small plane went down in a rural area near Cloud Street, just west of State Road 33, according to the Groveland Fire Department.

The plane was carrying two occupants. One was transported by trauma helicopter to a hospital with burn injuries. The second occupant refused treatment, officials said.

The cause of the plane crash is unknown.
