State troopers say a motorcyclist died in a West Melbourne crash Saturday night.
A crash report says it happened at the intersections of John Rhodes Boulevard and Pummelo Street, just before 9:30.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of a Jeep Gladiator was trying to make a left turn, when a motorcyclist was speeding the opposite direction. The two vehicles crashed as the motorcyclist tried to brake the report says.
The driver of the truck, a 25-year-old Melbourne man, was uninjured, troopers say. The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old from Pageland, died at the hospital.
The crash is under investigation.
