A road rage encounter ended in a deadly shooting Tuesday morning in the parking lot of an Apopka Home Depot, police said.

Officers responded to the Home Depot at 1670 W. Orange Blossom Trail at around 10:22 a.m. The Apopka Police Department identified the victim as Michael Joshua Chak. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Apopka police said all suspects are in custody and there is no threat to the public.

How the shooting unfolded

The altercation began on W. Orange Blossom Trail before both parties pulled into the Home Depot parking lot, according to police. The confrontation escalated in the parking lot, where Chak was shot.

Detectives determined the incident was isolated and stemmed from the road rage encounter, police said.

The other party involved in the investigation has been identified as Kameron Deandre Berry.
