Six Ravens is now open at Disney Springs. Well, it’s a soft opening, officially. A grand opening date is yet to be announced. That said, the venue should be open daily now, as operations slowly ramp up. We made it out to Disney Springs this morning for a first look and review of the new savory concept from the creators of Gideon’s Bakehouse. Here’s our Six Ravens review!
Six Ravens Review at Disney Springs

The Six Ravens Story

Six Ravens is the new savory quick-service spot at Disney Springs from the team behind Gideon’s Bakehouse. It takes over the former Art of Shaving space in The Landing, just steps from Gideon’s. The gothic, medieval-themed concept centers on the “Coffyn,” a hand pie made from a yeast roll stuffed with savory fillings. Local Central Florida restaurants, including The Pink Salamander and Pizza Bruno, are some of the highlighted collaborators when it came to creating dipping sauces for the Coffyns. The menu also includes smashed potato sides, dessert tarts, and local draft beer, with Coffyns priced at $10.96 each.

The concept was announced in January, and crews installed signage and the raven crest in June. Six Ravens soft opened on August 3rd with a virtual queue system in place, mirroring how Gideon’s manages its own crowds. Before we step inside, here’s a look at the exterior of the venue.
The Exterior

Six Ravens greets guests with a carved wooden marquee reading “Six Ravens” in gold gothic lettering. It’s set against a dark textured panel with a scalloped gold and red border. Above the entrance, a large crest shows a black raven wearing a gold crown. It’s set against a red and black shield dotted with six-pointed stars. Nearby, a wall graphic reads “If it is good, ’tis better in a Coffyn.” A crowned skull illustration on the graphic echoes the crest’s medieval framing.
Continuing the trend of Disney Springs venues having themed door handles, Six Ravens uses the raven crest.

The Menu

Small printed menu cards were being handed out to guests today. The front of the card carries the banner “Seek the Six,” and pictures six illustrated medieval characters.

The back of the card, headlined “The Fellowship of Six,” describes the restaurant as a from-scratch kitchen. It says Six Ravens is collaborating with other local Central Florida restaurants on several menu items.

The printed paper menu breaks the offerings into four sections. Six Ravens Coffyns lists six hand pies at $10.96 each, with dip included:
- The Peasant’s Patty, a classic cheeseburger Coffyn, paired with Pink Salamander dipping sauce
- The Villain of Valentina, a basil pesto chicken Coffyn, paired with Bruno’s Garlic Knot Sauce
- The Wizard’s Wonder, a mac and cheese and BBQ pulled pork Coffyn, paired with Prince Donut’s Smoke and Cherry BBQ Sauce
- The Imperial Idol, a coconut curry chicken Coffyn, paired with Red Panda’s Dipping Sauce
- The Moreish Monk, a grilled cheese Coffyn, paired with Wolf Peach Sauce
- The Foragers Find, spiced roasted sweet potatoes, black bean corn salsa, and queso cotija, paired with Tropic of Mango Aioli Dip
Extra dipping sauces are $1.96.
Three more sections round out the menu. The sides section lists a single item, Tell Tale Tatties, a mini bucket of baked smashed potatoes served with Realm Famous Honey Mustard for $8.66. Desserts, credited to Gideon’s Bakehouse, feature the Tarts Tempest, a chocolate chip cookie tart filled with chocolate fudge and topped with raspberry jam, for $7.66. Drinks close out the menu with:
- The Friar’s Fault, a house root beer, for $6.96
- Four local draft beers and a hard cider from The Ravenous Pig, The Crooked Can, and Sideward Brewing, at $9.66 each
- Fountain beverages for $3.66

The Interior
Six Ravens has a very small footprint. The space consists of an ordering counter and a themed entry area… that’s it.

Guests enter through the front doors to a large mural straight ahead. It shows a castle gate beneath a banner reading “May Thy Hunger Find Rest,” with a crowned skeleton standing in a window above the door.

From there, guests take a right into a short hallway before being sent on to the ordering counter. Behind the register, another mural runs the width of the room. It depicts a hooded, crowned figure inside a glowing circle, flanked by ravens against a deep red backdrop.

A stone relief carving sits opposite the registers, showing six robed, skeletal figures rendered in a medieval style. Nearby, a mantel holds two crossed swords over a red and black banner bearing the crowned raven crest. Embroidered tapestry panels and candles frame the display. A locked display case near the counter holds branded steins and other merchandise behind a wire grille.

Guests are assigned a specific register to place their order, and a tablet at the counter displays the Six Ravens crown logo, your order, and a place to tap to pay. A few minutes later, orders arrive back at that same counter. Guests then exit to the left, passing a fireplace along the way.
Six Ravens Food Review
Ok, time to roll up our sleeves and dig into the food. Before we do, I want to acknowledge the excellent packaging. We’re going to introduce our first McDonald’s analogy, but it won’t be our last. Inside the wonderfully designed Six Ravens bag is a Happy Meal-style container. Again, wonderful theming abounds here. Steve Lewis, the owner, really has an eye for attention to detail and turning the otherwise mundane into something branded and special.

Another stroke of genius was making sure that this Happy Meal-style container also works as a perfect photo studio for your food shots. The back of the box has “doors” that swing open, and a drawbridge that folds down (sticking with the medieval theming here), creating a wonderful spot to place a Coffyn for a photo shoot. The camera eats first, after all.

The Peasant’s Patty

A Classic Cheeseburger topped with American Cheese, Dill Pickle Bits, encased in a Sesame Seed sprinkled Coffyn. Pairing: Pink Salamander Dipping Sauce
Fans of the popular Cheeseburger Spring Rolls at Magic Kingdom and the Cheeseburger Pods in Pandora – The World of Avatar have another wonderful option to add to the list. The flavor profile here was basically a McDonald’s cheeseburger in the best possible way. Sticking with the McDonald’s analogy, Pink Salamander Dipping Sauce leans into a Big Mac flavor. It’s excellent, and of the two Coffyns we were allowed to purchase today given the purchase limit, it was easily the better of the two.

The Wizard’s Wonder

Mac & Cheese balanced with diced Pickled Poblano Peppers, BBQ Pulled Pork, shrouded in a BBQ Crumb covered Coffyn. Pairing: Prince Donut’s Smoke & Cherry BBQ Sauce
The Wizard’s Wonder was a miss for us. Maybe it would’ve been better had we had the chance to eat it right away instead of dodging raindrops on our way out of Disney Springs, but I didn’t really care for the cheese flavor. That said, the BBQ pulled pork was really good. As for the sauce that it comes with, it finished with too much tang. As good as the pulled pork was, we won’t be ordering this Coffyn again.

Tale Teller Tatties

A mini bucket of Baked Smashed Potatoes perfectly seasoned with the King’s spices and served with our amazing Realm Famous Honey Mustard.
These were a home run for us. They hit the mark on char and seasoning. The honey mustard was excellent, and a little Raven tells us it might be more widely available in the future; we’ll have to see. Just like the Coffyns, the portion size here is healthy. Each item earns a price tag that seems fair given the current food landscape at Disney Springs.

Six Ravens First Impressions
Overall, we were impressed with Six Ravens. We thought that there was some real quality when it came to the Coffyns, and we’re sold on getting the Tale Teller Tatties every time we return. However, a limit of two Coffyns per guest during the soft opening kept us from getting through the full menu. My first impressions are quite positive for Six Ravens. We’ll certainly be back soon to try more Coffyns. There are a lot of options when it comes to quick-service dining at Disney Springs, but Six Ravens might be up near the top of the list out of the gate.
