Walt Disney World filed a construction permit for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, suggesting maintenance work could be coming.

The permit calls for Coastal Steel Inc. to perform “General Construction” at the ride’s address. Though there are no further details, the hired contractor means there could be steel work.

Coastal Steel has also worked on ride systems.

Their portfolio includes the Chinese Theatre façade of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, so it’s possible they could also be performing an exterior refurbishment.

The permit was filed by Disney’s Facility Asset Management team, which usually handles basic maintenance rather than thematic changes.
