Long pieces of timber are now staged for the Magic Kingdom ferryboat dock expansion. A week ago, a floating platform arrived on site for equipment and a construction vehicle.

Magic Kingdom Dock Expansion

Four long wood poles are now on the platform next to the vehicle. They are supported by wooden planks. Similar planks are under the vehicle, protecting the platform.

A large toolbox, wheelbarrow, and bucket are also on the large platform.

A second smaller floating platform with a boat on top is tied alongside the larger one. Yellow barriers run around the large platform, preventing wayward equipment or debris from drifting into the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Disney filed a permit for dock construction in February, and it was approved by the state’s water management district in March. The expansion follows the 2021 addition of second-level ramps for quicker unloading of the boats. A fourth ferryboat, named after Meg Crofton, is under construction backstage.
