Construction walls, scaffolding, and scrims are up around the exterior of The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure for a repainting project.

Little Mermaid Exterior Refurbishment

The ride remains open as the refurbishment work begins. Construction walls run from the main entrance down the right side of the building.

The right side is almost completely blocked from view by scaffolding covered in black scrims. If the project goes on long enough, these scrims may be replaced by themed printed scrims resembling the building.

A backstage door at the far end is still available to Cast Members with the scaffolding creating an archway around it.

The construction walls wrap around some of the columns in the ride’s entryway.
