The new pavement for The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is complete but work continues on the outdoor patio.

Through the planters blocking access to the lounge, we could see the fresh pavement. The outer wall has also been redone, now featuring concrete columns topped with poles for a future shade structure. Previously, the short concrete wall was just topped with black railings.

The supports are about as tall as nearby lampposts and reach higher than the existing awning for the bar.
In the past, umbrellas were used for shade in the lounge. While Disney hasn’t confirmed more permanent shades, Cast Members told us they believe that is what is being installed.
The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is still operating, but at the restaurant’s smaller side patio area. The table-service restaurant also remains open.
