At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Walt Disney Imagineering shared a model of the Encanto ride coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, revealing a scene guests will experience. There are also models of the ride vehicles and animatronics.

Encanto Ride Models

This model shows the kitchen of Casita decorated for Antonio’s birthday. The scene features various animals, including a pig and donkey.

Presents decorate the table, and banners hang from the ceiling.

Though the ride is set during the events of the film, it seems it will focus more on Antonio and his animals than the movie’s plot. Previously released concept art showed a scene set in his jungle bedroom.

We also got our first look at the ride vehicles, which incorporate household furniture like a piano and dresser.

Guests will be seated on benches that are designed to look like couches or chairs—two rows with four seats in each row.

Animatronic models are also on display, including a donkey, toucan, and capybara.

The Encanto ride will be part of the new Tropical Americas, replacing DinoLand U.S.A. The area is set to open in 2027. Read more construction updates from Animal Kingdom, and check out the carousel animal models also on display at D23.
