More Disney news continues to be announced at D23, including details about Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, a new hotel being built at Walt Disney World.
Brother Bear Themed Lake Houses Coming to Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge
An Instagram video shared today by DVC Fan shows a closer look at the interior design plan for the Lake Houses being built at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. These one- or two-bedroom cabins will be themed to Disney’s animated film, Brother Bear (2003). They are designed as “artists’ retreats,” paying tribute to the Disney artists who worked on the film.
The video walks through the cabin, first starting with the living room. The floors are cherry hardwood with green and black furniture placed in front of a fireplace. The large back windows overlook the water. A dining room table is near the spacious kitchen, which has wood cabinets that match the floor and dark stone countertops.
Another view of the living room shows a TV above a large fireplace. Natural decor themed to Brother Bear can be spotted throughout the room. Under one such painting is a pull-down twin bed with artwork that looks like an animal den.
The video then shows one of the bedrooms. Above the bed is a large wood decor piece shaped like a mountain range. Rainbow lights shine behind the mountains, mimicking the Northern Lights seen in the film. The Northern Lights motif continues in the bathroom with artwork above the tub. The shower tiles are rainbow-colored, and there are wood beams above the double sinks.

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to open in Summer 2027. Construction is well underway for the Lake Houses, as seen in this photo from a few days ago. More information about the new hotel can be found here.
