Walt Disney Imagineering shared a teaser of the ride vehicles for the off-road rally race ride coming to Piston Peak National Park at Magic Kingdom.

Closer Look at Off-Road Rally Race Ride Vehicles

In a story shared to Instagram from D23, Walt Disney Imagineering showed one of the ride vehicles for the new Cars-themed expansion coming to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The smiling vehicle appears to be unfinished, as the car has no detailed markings, and a person is sitting behind the wheel of the vehicle. The caption for the video says, “Check the brakes! A detailed look at the new Cars ride vehicles coming to Piston Peak!”

Yesterday, we got a look at maquettes for the ride vehicles for Piston Peak National Park. This new type of ride vehicle moves along a single-rail track and rolls over raised obstacles. It has a range of motion similar to the vehicles on the Indiana Jones Adventure or the now-extinct DINOSAUR.

We’ve seen some rough sketches and concept art so far, but this is our first in-person look at a more realistic vehicle. Each vehicle will have its own unique personality.
