Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino took the stage during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event to tease Romy and Michele 2.
Romy and Michele Return

The pair appeared before a colorful screen bearing the reveal of the sequel’s title, confirming the return of Kudrow’s Michele Weinberger and Sorvino’s Romy White.
The sequel to 1997’s Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion is already in production from 20th Century Studios. The original cult-favorite comedy followed the longtime friends as they headed back to their high school reunion and attempted to impress their former classmates with a fabricated story about inventing Post-its.

Original screenwriter Robin Schiff is back to pen the sequel, while Tim Federle is directing. Janeane Garofalo, Alan Cumming, Camryn Manheim, and Julia Campbell are also set to reprise their roles. The expanded cast includes Keegan-Michael Key, Rob Huebel, Breckin Meyer, Patrick Warburton, Nathan Lee Graham, Anna Baryshnikov, Sofia Wylie, and, most recently, Wendi McLendon-Covey, whose role has not been revealed.
The new film is expected to debut as a Hulu Original in the United States, with an international release on Disney+ planned. A release date has not been announced.
