It’s almost Halloween Horror Nights time and Universal Studios Florida is decked out with props and stages for the 2026 event.

Infernal Carnival of Nightmares

Guests will enter Halloween Horror Nights through the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares scare zone based on Dr. Oddfellow and Jack the Clown. This acts as the overall theme of the event.

A fake ticket booth was added in front of the trusses holding up the “Halloween Horror Nights” sign. A Scareactor will probably appear here.

The sign and curtains were installed earlier this month. Now stars elements are to the sides of the sign and flags are above.

Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow will presumably stand on these platforms in front of the trusses. The platform on the right has a purple and blue color scheme corresponding to Oddfellow while the yellow and red colors of the other platform match Jack. Both have “35,” the event number, hidden in their faux iron bases.

Outside the Universal Studios Store is a vintage-style truck. In the bed are carnival supplies and signs.

Moving into Minion Land, there are signs and icons representing each of this year's haunted houses, sitting atop bases that match the carnival theming.

The first element on the left has a Halloween Horror Nights 35 sign. Next to it is a barrel and some bloody props.

After that is a large Hellraiser puzzle box and a symbol apparently for the Ozzy Osbourne house.

On the other side of the street are props for Stranger Things 5, Sinners, and Evil Dead Burn.

Downtown Clowntown

In the New York section of the park is the Downtown Clowntown scare zone featuring Killer Klowns From Outer Space and Art the Clown. A colorful prop is behind barriers no far from one of the Downtown Clowntown signs.

Across from the Tribute Store is a faux marble stage. In addition to tents installed a few weeks ago, the stage now has a Jack the Clown statue on a pedestal in the center. A yellow armchair sits beside the pedestal.

Halloween Horror Nights set designers are making use of the Finnegan's construction walls. Various vintage-style Ringling and Barnum & Bailey posters adorn the walls.

The Midway of the Bizarre stage continues to be decorated with more props. There are now stuffed animals pinned to the back. A large ice cream cone sits on a metal barrel next to the steps.

One of the blue wagons in the area has red curtains and "Dr. Oddfellow's Grand Carnival" artwork on the side. This wagon has moved locations multiple times. It now sits at the head of Sting Alley.

Details have been added to the wheel on the “35” stage. There are barrels and a crate to the sides and a blue weathered railing across the front.

Down Sting Alley is a Crosshairs Coop Game of Skill booth. Though it resembles a shooting game booth (splattered with blood), it appears to actually be a food both.

The alley also houses a carnival ticket booth.

At one end are red and yellow-striped walls plastered with thematic posters, where guests will enter the alley to retrieve their food.

Down another New York street is where guests will encounter Art the Clown from Terrifier. There’s an Iron Side Demolition van parked next to a “Santa” stage.

The stage indicates Art will be in his Santa Claus outfit. It resembles a classic mall meet and greet with presents and a castle-like archway.

But there are mysterious large elements hidden from view and a demonic-looking chair.

Sideshow of Decay

Carnival theming continues over in the Hollywood section of the park, which will hose the Sideshow of Decay scare zone. New props in the area include a pile of crates with a big red arrow and old rusted license plate.

The “Undoubtedly Dead” stage has additional propping to the sides. Something is covered by a tarp in the center of the stage. That might be the fish tail we originally saw in the stage’s big barrel, or some spoiler for the event.

This stage of strange creatures includes a two-headed swan boat and carousel horse. Recent additions include a stilt-walker mannequin and colorful umbrellas.

Another carousel horse is among a pile of crates and barrels nearby.

The props all have a dirty weathered finish, as though they were abandoned at the carnival long ago and recently repurposed.

This stage has a new "Step on it big boy" sign featuring bumper cars. There's a cage in the back where a Scareactor will presumably appear.

There’s a cat-like bumper car draped in thick rope with an axe in its head.

This stage has been adorned with overgrowing vines. A strength machine is leaning on the right side.

FORTNITEMARES

Last but not least for scare zones is FORTNITEMARES in the Central Park area. Trusses at the entrance are adorned with blue paneling and tentacle-like elements. A “FORTNITEMARES” sign is at the top.

A platform for a performer is at the base of the archway. Nearby, black tarps cover a possible prop or signage.

On the sidewalks of the scare zone are structures of wood planks, one with a tower. They have platforms and steps for Scareactors.

As we previously reported, there’s a shed at the end next to a fake brick wall with a 3D tentacle wrapping around it.

Club Horror

Club Horror will return to San Francisco. A booth is set up around a tent, where guests will be able to enjoy various themed libations.

Food Booths and Trucks

Other food booths in the parks have added details. The devilish booth next to Gramercy Park now has an ordering kiosk reading “Welcome to the Show.”

The booth next door is now adorned with a “Death Tank” sign.

By the Springfield bridge is the Meetz Meats booth, now featuring advertisement posters across the front.

A nearby tent simply has “Halloween Horror Nights 35” signage. Menus have yet to be posted at any food or drink locations.

Edgar Schmidt’s Draft Wagon also has an ordering kiosk now. Eddie Schmidt is Jack the Clown’s brother.

Halloween Horror Nights 35 is on select nights August 28 through November 1 at Universal Studios Florida. Are you attending this clown-ish year? Let us know on social media.
