On August 19, Ramsay posed in his traditional white chef’s attire for a photo op alongside Mickey and Jill Estorino outside the new British-themed restaurant. Mickey appeared in his classic tuxedo style while Estorino wore a navy jacket with a tan plaid top. The trio gathered just out front of the restaurant’s main entrance.

There’s a kind of humorous undertone to their photo op that almost goes without saying. Ramsay has built a reputation as an intimidating chef with his sharp tongue and perfectionist standards, while Mickey, by contrast, has represented unconditional warmth and friendliness for all people across generations. One thing Ramsay, Mickey, and Estorino share in common, however, is a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences and pursuing excellence in their fields.

This marks Ramsay’s second publicized visit to the restaurant site in 2026. He visited Disneyland Resort in January, when the venue was still under construction, and posed with Mickey and then-Disneyland Resort President Thomas Mazloum.

A second official photo shows Ramsay posing by himself in front of the restaurant. The entrance’s colorful doors and geometric window treatments can be seen behind him as he strikes a candid pose.

Gordon Ramsay and The Carnaby

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby opened on July 13 on the west side of Downtown Disney District, near Disneyland Hotel. The 175-seat restaurant is located above the new permanent Earl of Sandwich location.

The restaurant takes inspiration from Carnaby Street and the cultural energy of 1960s London. Its interiors combine bold colors, British pop art, dark woodwork, murals, and a soundtrack featuring British hits from the era. Disney shared the first official look inside The Carnaby shortly before its debut.

Gordon Ramsay is a Scottish-born chef, restaurateur, television personality, and author. After training under several prominent European chefs, he opened his first solo dining establishment, the Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, in London in 1998. Ramsay is also widely known for television series including Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, and Next Level Chef.

The menu centers on Ramsay’s signature British dishes, including beef Wellington, fish and chips with triple-cooked fries, bangers and mash, cottage pie, and sticky toffee pudding. Other offerings include branzino, chicken Milanese, and chickpea tikka masala. A tableside prime rib cart serves hand-carved meat with Yorkshire pudding, roasted vegetables, and au jus.

Initial reservations sold out through September, prompting The Carnaby to increase its nightly capacity, expand its operating hours, and release additional reservations for the remainder of 2026.

We also had a great opportunity to speak with Earl of Sandwich founder Robert Earl and Chef Damien Brassel about the development of The Carnaby, its 1960s London theme, and Ramsay’s own involvement in creating the menu.
