Most of the attraction—including the top, center column, and swings—is now visible. Previously, scrim and scaffolding fully surrounded the ride.

The top is now fully visible, and the symphony scenes decorating the surround do not appear to have changed.

We have been tracking the attraction’s refurbishment, noticing when scrim began to come down, Mickey the Conductor reappeared at the top, and the red-and-white striped top returned.

Silly Symphony Swings is based on the 1935 short, “The Band Concert,” featuring Mickey Mouse as a conductor who keeps his orchestra playing even as a tornado lifts them all into the sky. In the ride, guests are seated on a swing that dangles from the overhead canopy. The canopy then lifts and rotates guests as the “William Tell Overture” plays.
