Get ready for the upcoming Avengers film with a new podcast releasing soon on Disney+, co-hosted by Ms. Marvel herself.
Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Podcast
As announced today, Marvel is launching an official rewatch podcast hosted by Frank Alvarez and Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel). Setting the stage for the showdown in Avengers: Doomsday, the podcast will take fans behind the scenes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), revisiting all of the major moments leading up to the film.
Over the course of five episodes, a key film from the MCU will be revisited, recapping all of the fan-favorite moments and the film’s legacy. The first episode launches August 27, with new episodes airing weekly. The fifth episode will discuss Avengers: Endgame and coincides with the September 25 re-release of Avengers: Endgame in theaters.
The Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast will be available on Disney+ and YouTube, with the audio-only version available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You can listen to the audio trailer for a preview of the podcast.
Avengers: Doomsday
Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, return to direct. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is among the film’s producers. A special look at the film was shown at D23 last week.
Domestic tickets for Infinity Vision theaters went on sale July 20. Disney announced Infinity Vision, a premium large format theater certification, earlier this year. They will also offer Infinity Vision tickets for a re-release of Avengers: Endgame in September.
The runtime for Avengers: Doomsday is 165 minutes or two hours and 45 minutes. This is subject to change but not by much since they’re already selling tickets.
Avengers: Doomsday releases in theaters on December 18, 2026. The movie will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars, currently scheduled for December 17, 2027.
