Nearly a year after Walt Disney World first announced it, camouflage props have started showing up inside Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT. We spotted two of these oversized set pieces during a ride through the France Pavilion attraction this morning. Disney first laid out the plan for these props last November, meant to blend the seam between the ride’s physical sets and its screens. Here’s the latest.
New On-Ride Props Debut at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

IN THIS ARTICLE:
- Two new oversized props have been installed inside the ride
- The props appear in the kitchen exit scene and the finale scene
- Both spaces were previously empty of any foreground set dressing
New Props at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
The first new prop sits in the extended kitchen scene, just after guests pass by a massive refrigerator. A spilled box of uncooked pasta is now scattered across the floor in the foreground. It sits directly in front of the screen showing the chefs scrambling around the kitchen. The physical prop hides the screen seam pretty well. That’s especially true here, since guests sit a bit further from this screen than they do in scenes where the screen stretches above their heads. Here’s a before/after of the change.

A second new prop shows up in the finale scene, where Remy is celebrating on the rooftop with his fellow rats. That screen now has a cutting board sitting in front of it, dressed with cheese, a wine cork, and a few other kitchen odds and ends. Neither space had any foreground set dressing before this week. Here’s a look at the before/after.

These are the first props to appear on the ride since Disney announced the 2D conversion back in October 2025. Disney said at the time that new props and lighting enhancements would follow in the queue and attraction. The design mirrors what’s already in place at Disneyland Paris. There, a similar cutting board and spilled pasta soften those same screen seams.
It’s not yet clear whether more props are coming to other scenes throughout the ride and queue. It’s possible that these two props are the extent of the work. We’ll keep an eye out!
