When a miracle embalming drug backfires, the Deville Family Funeral Home’s permanent residents rise from their graves dead set on terrorizing the living in this haunted house.
Deville Family Funeral Home was founded in the early 1920s by hotel impresario Maximilian Deville. Over the years, the complex grew to include a morgue, embalming rooms, crematorium, mausoleum, and cemetery. But the Deville was embroiled in rumors of missing bodies, improper cremations, and organ trafficking.
The Deville closed in the late 1970s, soon after the disappearance of its last director, Ambrose Deville. Before he vanished, Ambrose tried to patent the drug “Ambrotox,” which was said to restore life-like features to dead bodies without the cost of embalming.
Some claim to see Ambrose entering the abandoned facility late at night, while others report disturbing sounds and strange lights coming from the Deville Family Funeral Home.
The house’s facade is the funeral home and guests enter into a lobby space, hearing narration from Ambrose.
In a room of urns and candles, Ambrose himself appears, looking worse for wear.
In a chapel, a zombie with green Ambrotox liquid spilling down his face appears alongside two skinless bodies among the pews. Walking down the hallway, another such zombie attacks.
Then guests enter Ambrose’s lab, encountering a large body connected to tubes of Ambrotox. Though the body on the table is motionless, other live specimens distorted by experiments burst from doors.
In a dungeon are several bodies on tables in various states of dismemberment. Ambrose removes a heart from one body and attacks guests with a saw.
In the morgue are frozen bodies, some dead and some, well, deader.
Several bodies are ready to be burnt in the crematorium, where Ambrose appears again. Guests walk between the cremator to the sound of rising heat.
On the other side are ashen toxic skeletons, and some dead that weren’t fully burned attack.
Guests enter a tomb where more “dead” bodies reach for them.
The experience ends in a graveyard, where decayed bodies dressed in their finest attire shriek and swipe at guests.

Dead, Deader, Deadest is in the Jurassic World Queue on the Lower Lot.
