One of Universal Studios Florida’s longest-running attractions will soon be taking its final bow.

Animal Actors on Location! will perform its last shows Monday, Nov. 2, with the attraction permanently closing Tuesday, Nov. 3, Universal Orlando confirmed via social media.

The live family show opened June 7, 1990, as Animal Actors Stage — one of the park’s original opening-day attractions. Over the decades, it underwent two name changes, first becoming Animal Planet Live from 2001 to 2006, then Animal Actors on Location! from 2006 until its closure.

The 20-minute outdoor show, held in an amphitheater near DreamWorks Land, features birds, dogs, cats and other trained animals performing in live skits, video segments and audience interactions. Guests also learn how animal actors are trained for film and television.

The show’s closure follows that of Fast & Furious — Supercharged, which permanently shuttered Aug. 16.

Universal has not announced what will replace the venue.

Animal Actors on Location! shared the opening-day distinction with just one other remaining attraction — E.T. Adventure, which sits directly across from the amphitheater and continues to operate.
