Frontier Airlines is expanding its international operations with its first-ever service to South America, launching three nonstop routes from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Colombia in December.

The new service will connect MCO with Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena.

The flights will operate to El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, José María Córdova International Airport in Medellín and Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena.

More than 360,000 visitors travel from Colombia to Orlando each year, and the airline is the second-largest carrier at Orlando International by passenger market share.

“Well, Orlando is a really important market for us overall, and we continue to grow here. It’s one of our largest bases of operation, so for us it was a great place for our new flights to South America, and it is our first time going to the continent. So, we’re really excited about the big day for us and the community,” Tyri Squyres, Frontier’s vice president of public and consumer affairs, told News 6.

Frontier also announced plans to continue growing at Orlando International, reaching 79 daily departures by March.

Tickets are on sale now. Introductory fares are subject to restrictions, availability and additional fees.

Medellín: Daily service begins Dec. 10, with introductory fares starting at $169

Bogotá: Daily service begins Dec. 14, with daily service and fares starting at $99

Cartagena: Weekly service begins Dec. 19, with introductory fares starting at $129
