UPDATE: Mary Wallace returned to Marion County and was located by deputies and is safe
ORIGINAL STORY:
A woman was reported missing from Ocala on Wednesday afternoon, sparking a Silver Alert to find her whereabouts, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
In a release on Wednesday, deputies said the woman — identified as Mary Wallace — left a hotel in Ocala around 4:30 p.m.
At the time, she was driving her 2018 white Ford F-150 with a bed topper, which had a Tennesee license plate reading “58851PD,” deputies explained.
Per the MCSO, Wallace is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, so due to her cognitive state, a Silver Alert was issued.
“Deputies learned that the Titusville Police Department made contact with her at around 4:30 a.m. today,” the release reads. “And they believe she may be en route to the Orlando area.”
Anyone with information on Wallace’s whereabouts is urged to call 911.
