Miami earned a total score of 74.62, ranking first in the country for diversity, accessibility and quality. The city also tied for the most restaurants per capita and ranked highly for ice cream and frozen-yogurt shops, underscoring its reputation for varied dining and vibrant food culture.

  • Miami: No. 1 overall, with the highest score in the country for diversity, accessibility and quality.
  • Orlando: No. 6 overall; tied for the most restaurants per capita and ranked among the national leaders for ice cream and frozen-yogurt shops.
  • Tampa: No. 7 overall and No. 8 for diversity, accessibility and restaurant quality.
  • Fort Lauderdale: No. 21 overall and No. 17 for diversity, accessibility and quality.

Miami also tied for the most restaurants per capita, highlighting the city’s broad range of dining options. Orlando shared the top ranking for ice cream and frozen-yogurt shops.

WalletHub compared more than 180 U.S. cities using 28 measures, including:

  • Restaurant affordability and availability
  • Food festivals per capita
  • Craft breweries and wineries
  • Specialty food and drink establishments

The rankings show Florida’s strength is the variety and accessibility of its dining scene, even though some cities face higher food-related costs.
