Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is picking up its first monstrous details at the main entrance to Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza. We can now see spikes along the top of the entrance roofline, with teeth installed below them. Our photos from Grand Avenue during a recent visit also show new details on two buildings farther back. Here’s the latest!
Monstropolis Facade Details at Hollywood Studios: Spikes and Teeth Arrive at Archie’s Entrance

IN THIS ARTICLE:
- Spikes and teeth now appear at the Archie’s entrance
- The open archways still have galvanized steel framing and green railings
- The gift shop and Roz buildings show new details in the distance
Crews have been adding details to the Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza facade in Monstropolis since July. That said, we’re only now getting our first look at spikes and teeth at the entrance to the quick-service venue. Two buildings farther back show new details as well.
Spikes and Teeth Appear at the Archie’s Entrance
From Grand Avenue, we can see spikes running along the top of the entrance roofline at Archie’s. Teeth sit below the spikes. Both elements have been recently revealed, and neither has its final layer of paint and theming yet.

The whole look builds on the horn-shaped window frames and tooth-like trim that appeared in July, and the toothy zigzag trim crews added along the Archie’s roofline in September. Those elements, while part of the Archie’s building complex, are actually located above the restrooms in the last. Scaffolding, a pulley, and caution tape still surround the work at the entrance.
While Disney has described Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza in the past, we don’t have any concept art for either the exterior or interior. When we received a sneak peek hardhat tour this Summer, we walked through the space. What we saw was a very familiar layout from the PizzeRizzo days, but drywalk and studs throughout. There was no theming installed yet, so we’restill in the dark on what the final look will be.
We also checked in on the open archways, which are not new. Galvanized steel framing and green railings still define the area.

Disney says Archie’s is among the first four locations opening in 2027 as part of the phased Monstropolis opening.
Gift Shop and Roz Building Details Beyond the Construction Walls
Beyond the construction walls, the building labeled as a gift shop in the concept art shows unpainted gray brick. White surrounds frame its windows, with sawtooth trim beneath each one. A band of scalloped shingles sits under a white cornice. Coverings protect the windows, and a light-blue angular piece stands out against the brick.

Crews are active here, as workers on the scaffolding show. Previously released Disney concept art shows the gift shop with purple trim and a green eye in one of its windows.

The orange building under construction is the one we’re referring to as the Roz building. Heavy scaffolding blocks a lot of the details from view. In that same concept art, Roz appears as a relief on the white “We’re Always Watching” facade.
