Concept art was shared at D23 today of the Héctor Rivera statue coming to Disney California Adventure as part of the new Coco attraction.

The concept art shows Héctor Rivera depicted as a shiny bronze statue. He is holding his guitar in one hand while his other hand is in the air. The statue is surrounded by sugar skulls and marigold flowers. Hanging above him are strings of colorful papel picado, while the buildings nearby have marigold strands above the doorways.

The statue will likely be located inside of the Coco-themed plaza being built in Pixar Pier, as shown in concept art for the new ride.

Yesterday, we spotted the maquette of the Héctor Rivera statue. At the base of the statue are plaques reading, “¡His family was his world!”
