More scrims, scaffolding, and construction walls are up in the New York section of Universal Studios Florida, next to Finnegan’s Bar & Grill.

Finnegan’s Refurbishment

Finnegan’s closed in early January and was completely gutted. Scrim and scaffolding went up around the facade in early June. The scrims were later replaced by printed scrims depicting the facade.

This week, construction walls and scaffolding have been extended across the adjacent Priscilla Hotel facade. The scaffolding is covered by black scrims but themed scrims may later be installed.

One of the facade’s overhangs juts out between scrims and scaffolding. The fake hotel will likely get an exterior refurbishment, just like Finnegan’s.

Finnegan’s will be closed through 2026.
