Tokyo Disney Resort made an out-of-character post teasing the reopening of Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull, potentially indicating the ride received major updates.

The post contains a photo of Indy’s iconic fedora and the scarf worn by Paco, the ride’s original pre-show character, hanging on a fence with the ride’s temple facade in the background. The caption approximately translates to, “Is everyone ready? See you again!”
The year-long closure of Indiana Jones Adventure for refurbishment began August 18, 2025. Tokyo Disney Resort keeps up-to-date with their ride maintenance, so we already knew such a long closure meant major mechanical upgrades.
Though the post doesn’t reveal anything new, it is unusual for Tokyo Disney Resort. They could be teasing a big announcement regarding the ride. At the very least, we expect a reopening date soon. Check out the post below:

Indiana Jones Adventure Around the World
Indiana Jones Adventure at Tokyo DisneySea uses an identical ride system and track as the Disneyland version of the ride, which is subtitled Temple of the Forbidden Eye. The rides have different stories, however. The Disneyland version is set in 1935 India at the temple of Mara. Temple of the Crystal Skull — which opened in 2001 and is unrelated to the 2008 film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull — is set in Mexico and involves the search for the Fountain of Youth.
A third Indiana Jones ride will soon replace DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. DINOSAUR also used the same ride system and a nearly identical track as Indiana Jones Adventure. This version will be set at a Maya temple, where Indy is investigating rumors of a mythical creature.
