A man accused of shooting through a bedroom door at two of his roommates during a fight in Deltona is now in custody.

Volusia County deputies were initially called early Friday morning to the area of Saxon Boulevard and Providence Boulevard after reports of gunshots.

Investigators said three people got into a fight before Kenneth Stewart, 60, fired through the bedroom door of two of his roommates. He was wearing body armor at the time of the shooting.

No one was injured. Stewart fled the scene after the shooting, and deputies who searched the home did not find him. An active warrant was issued for his arrest.

Stewart was later tracked down and arrested in Daytona Beach.

Stewart is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (two counts), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and possession of a bulletproof vest while committing aggravated assault.
