The wet pattern continues across Central Florida, with frequent showers and thunderstorms expected through much of the week.

A weak front will remain near the area through early Wednesday, while plenty of moisture and weak steering winds set the stage for another round of slow-moving storms.

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY

Showers and storms will become more widespread this afternoon as the sea breeze develops and pushes well inland.

Rain chances range from 30% to 50% along the coast and 50% to 70% inland.

Storms will be slow and erratic, increasing the potential for torrential downpours. Some areas could pick up 2 to 4 inches of rain in a short time, especially where storms repeatedly move over the same location.

Stronger storms may also produce 40 to 50 mph wind gusts and frequent lightning.

Temperatures remain seasonable, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and heat indices in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees.

Rain chances remain high Wednesday, with 50% to 60% coverage expected across the area.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

The unsettled pattern continues from Thursday through the weekend.

Decent moisture levels will remain in place, with rain chances around 40% to 50% each day. Daily sea breezes will help trigger afternoon storms, with some storms potentially moving back toward the coast during the late afternoon and evening.

Temperatures stay close to normal, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and muggy lows in the 70s.
