We will hang onto dry air and sunny skies for one more day before rain chances return to Central Florida, along with strong wind gusts.
Tonight
Dry air at the surface and mid-levels of our atmosphere will spell for a clear, starry sky evening. This, mixed with a gentle northerly wind overnight, will once again allow our temperatures to drop down into the 50s and 60s. Everywhere north and west of the I-4 corridor will enjoy overnight lows in the mid 50s. The I-4 corridor will see temperatures hovering around 60ºF. I-95 and the beaches will see mid-upper 60s with low 70s along the space coast.
Friday
Lingering dry air in our skies will leave our skies mostly sunny once again, however, you will notice a few more fair-weather clouds for the second half of the afternoon. Highs will reach the low 80s. Our NE winds will be a tad stronger: sustained winds will peak at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25mph at times.
This Weekend
A tightening pressure gradient between the western Atlantic and Eastern Seaboard spells for windy conditions right over Central Florida this weekend. Our onshore NE winds will continue to increase with gusts peaking 30-35mph on Saturday, up to 40mph on Sunday. This strong breeze will bring in moisture from the Atlantic waters. Due to this, cloud cover will be on the increase as well as the chance for off and on quick-moving showers.
