The official Star Wars X account has revealed the first poster for Star Wars: Starfighter, the upcoming standalone film starring Ryan Gosling.

‘Star Wars: Starfighter’ Poster

The minimalist poster is set entirely against the franchise’s familiar black starfield. A large, yellow-outlined Star Wars logo occupies the center, with the movie’s “Starfighter” title stretching across it in 3D silver lettering. The metallic title treatment appears slightly weathered, adding a kind of machine-worn texture evocative of starships throughout Star Wars.

Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Tropper, Star Wars: Starfighter is an original adventure set in a previously unexplored period of the Star Wars timeline. The film is not a prequel or sequel to an existing story and will focus primarily on new characters.

Alongside Gosling, the announced cast includes Flynn Gray, Amy Adams, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, and Daniel Ings. The film is slated for release on May 28, 2027.
