The City of Groveland will once again distribute bottled water to some residents after an issue with one of the water plants prompted an advisory.

The Sunshine Water Plant, which serves the northern end of the city, experienced a pump failure on Wednesday, triggering a drop in water pressure.

The city says services have been restored, but it issued a boil water advisory as a precaution.

As News 6 community Correspondent Jarell Baker reported Wednesday, about 5,000 people lost water because of the pump failure.

The notice could be lifted as early as Friday morning.

The city will be distributing bottled water to affected residents Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m.

The distribution site is the Cherry Lake Prep Car Line at 119 Wilson Lake Parkway.

One case of bottled water will be distributed per vehicle.
