A pump failure prompted a boil water advisory for some residents in the city of Groveland.

According to the city, the Sunshine Water Plant — which services the northern end of the city — experienced a full pump failure just after 5 a.m., triggering a drop in water pressure along the Wilson Lake corridor and prompting the boil water advisory.

Crews restored pump operations and service before 8 a.m. The city says there isn’t a public health concern, but the boil water advisory will remain in effect.

The City of Groveland shared images of the neighborhoods impacted by the drop in water pressure and the boil water advisory.

The city will be distributing bottled water to affected residents Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m.

The distribution site is the Cherry Lake Prep Car Line at 119 Wilson Lake Parkway.

One case of bottled water will be distributed per vehicle.
