Haul-O-Ween has rolled into Cars Land with creepy cars, oil-can spiders, and plenty of automotive puns.

Haul-O-Ween, the spooky seasonal overlay that comes to Cars Land each fall, first debuted in 2017 when Halloween Time decor expanded across Disney California Adventure. For a brief few months, Radiator Springs becomes “Radiator Screams,” with automotive-inspired decorations, Halloween “car-stumes” for the town’s residents, and seasonal music.

As we tour the land to check out some of the Halloween festivities, we can find the ScareCar, a play on the classic scarecrow look. This little car, wearing a black traffic cone as a witch’s hat atop his mop of purple car wash brush hair, greets guests at the entrance of Cars Land, grinning a toothy, license plate smile.

Tires and cones strung from telephone poles form a scary face hanging above guests walking through the streets.


Luigi is ready to spook you, hiding beneath a black tarp at the entrance of his haunting seasonal attraction, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, which plays spooky versions of songs and stories from its traditional playlist. The overlay will run from August 21 through October 31.
Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters also receives a Christmas season overlay, becoming Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl, returning this year on November 13.

Ghostly semi-trucks with long, billowing tails top the Fillmore’s Taste-In sign.

Mater’s Junkyard Jamobree is now Mater’s Junkyard Jam-BOOree. where Mater will creep guests out with spooky country songs as he takes guests for a whirl. The overlay will run from August 21 – October 31.
Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree also receives a Christmas season overlay, becoming Mater’s Jingle Jamboree, also returning this year on November 13.

The stroller parking fence in front of the attraction now features skeleton-like “monster” trucks with their grilles open wide and engines exposed.


Halloween-colored bunting hangs from poles and decorates fences throughout the land.

Pumpkin-faced batteries are wired as though growing from vines in the ground, while oil-can spiders climb trees and scurry about.



Stanley’s statue stands proudly with a black traffic cone witch’s hat, encouraging playful spooks throughout the land.


A Cars-style ride vehicle from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride over in Disneyland has turned into a spider and waits for a bite outside of Flo’s V8 Cafe.

Oil-can spiders hang from webs made of chains strung between telephone poles.



Giant traffic cones with jack-o’-lantern faces stand guard around the perimeter of the Cozy Cone Motel, grimacing at guests for a fright.
Guests looking for a seasonal souvenir can pick up the 2026 Disney California Adventure Halloween Time map, featuring a costumed Lightning McQueen on the cover.
Disney announced that the construction walls separating Cars Land and Avengers Campus will come down at the end of August. The land also celebrated the 20th anniversary of Cars with a special “Sh-Boom” procession featuring Lightning McQueen.
