Jaylen Edgar, the man accused of committing a deadly mass shooting during Halloween celebrations in downtown Orlando, has been found guilty on all counts.

He did not take the stand in his own defense on Monday. Defense attorneys announced that Edgar would not testify, and the defense rested its case.

Jurors reached their verdict on Monday, finding Edgar, 18, guilty of the following charges in connection with a deadly mass shooting during Halloween celebrations in downtown Orlando in 2024:

• First-degree murder of Tyrek Hill
• First-degree murder of Timothy Schmidt, Jr.
• First-degree attempted murder (7 counts)

Prosecutors rested their case Friday following two days of testimony.

Edgar was 17 at the time of his arrest, making him ineligible for the death penalty.

The shooting claimed the lives of Tyrek Hill, 25, and Timothy Schmidt Jr., 19. Seven others survived gunshot wounds.

Edgar’s sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 20 at 9 a.m.
