The top of the Mad Hatter’s hat is now uncovered at the Alice in Wonderland-themed splash pad at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

WDWNT previously reported that the splash pad closed for an unannounced refurbishment on August 12, when the bucket was wrapped in plastic, and the slides were blocked off.

The giant Mad Hatter hat water bucket has now been uncovered, however, water is still not flowing through the play area and slides. A construction lift was still parked nearby during our visit.

Portraits of Alice, the White Rabbit, and the Mad Hatter that usually sit on the structure were also spotted off to the side. They may be getting prepped to be reattached.

The splash pad still remains closed while the remaining work is completed. Disney has not announced an official reopening date for the play area.
