Incredibles 3 will follow what happens after the superheroes regain their legal status, which happened at the end of the second movie.

The three Incredibles kids will keep their current ages—the timeline does not move forward. The story will heavily focus on Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack.

Pixar’s The Incredibles was released in 2004, followed by Incredibles 2 in 2018. Despite the gap, they are set one right after the other. Though details are still sparse, it seems we can expect Incredibles 3 to follow in the footsteps of the previous films.

Brad Bird, who wrote and directed Pixar’s first two Incredibles films, explained that the third movie won’t have a time jump to age up the characters. Bird is writing and executive producing Incredibles 3 while Peter Sohn takes over as director. Incredibles 3 was first announced at D23 2024.

Incredibles 3 is scheduled for release on June 16, 2028, 10 years after Incredibles 2 and 24 years after the original.
