More details have been revealed for the newest movie in the Frozen franchise, releasing in theaters in November 2027.
Frozen 3 Details Revealed
At the end of Frozen 2, Kristoff finally proposes to Anna, after spending much of the film trying to find the perfect way to ask her to marry him. We now know that in Frozen 3, the film will feature the couple’s wedding as they officially become husband and wife.
In Frozen 2, there was a brief scene where Olaf wanders alone through the Enchanted Forest, calling out “Anna? Elsa? Sven?” and adds “Samantha”? He then laughs and says, “I don’t even know a Samantha.” Olaf will have a romantic interest in Frozen 3, with the lovable snowman set to have a girlfriend named Samantha.
Yesterday, we got a first look at the character designs for the film with these new statues. Anna and Elsa are displayed in their new outfits.
Elsa is wearing a sparkly blue dress with diamond crystals down the front of the skirt, while Anna is wearing a pink dress adorned with flowers. Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven are wearing formal attire, perhaps to attend the wedding of Kristoff and Anna teased at the end of Frozen 2.

The movie will release in theaters just before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 24, 2027.
Though not many details about the upcoming film were shared at D23 in 2024, fans did get a glimpse at new concept art (pictured above) and learned that the film would be one of a two-part finale that would reportedly resolve all unanswered questions like “Who gave Elsa her powers?” and “What happened to Hans?”
Both the third and fourth installments in the series are being made together. Kristen Bell shared on social media earlier this year that she was in the studio bringing Anna to life for this third film.
